Jahar's Story

Growing up in the Salt Lake slum, Jahar's journey started with challenges that would test the spirit of any young soul. Born into a family facing economic hardships, his early years were marked by the absence of education and the weight of poverty.

Jahar's family battled the demons of poverty and illiteracy, and faced violence at home due to his father's struggle with alcoholism. Living in the slum only added to their hardships, where proper nourishment was a luxury, and they often had just one meal a day.

Recognizing the need for a better life and more opportunities, SEED extended their care and guidance to Jahar through the Salt Lake Slum project. Then in 2019, he moved into the Boys Dream Home.

By joining the Dream Home, Jahar received not only better nourishment and care but also the chance to access education and a supportive environment. Not to mention that the nurturing atmosphere has allowed him to focus on his studies and personal development.

His story is a testament to the transformative power of community support. And here's a fantastic update – Jahar's mom is a rockstar in our vocational program at the slum, taking steps toward self-sufficiency and empowerment. Your support ripples through families, creating positive change that resonates for generations.

But that's not all – we're thrilled to share that Jahar's brother AND twin sisters have joined the Dream Home!s as well! Your continued support is transforming lives, creating opportunities, and building a community where every child has the chance to thrive.
